Been thinking about fathers lately and the impact they have on a boys life. Or rather how the lack there of affects a growing boy. The idea of father’s not investing in their sons lives vexes my spirit. By abandoning your son either though absence or apathy you’re casting him out into a cruel world that not only doesn’t care about him but is diametrically opposed to everything he is. You are catapulting him into a world that will either corrupt him beyond recognition or rend him asunder, leaving him another faceless statistic. Fatherlessness is an act of Cruelty. Paraphrasing Shakespeare: There is no better term than this thou art a villain.
